10 blok updates

hi,

today’s issue is for those that use blok actively.

if that’s not you, that’s ok! feel free to exit out of this as it’s not really worth your attention. yet, if you’re a regular enjoyer of the blokerooski, read on.

here are 10 quick updates you should know about:

1. introducing “combine modes”.

this is a feature i’ve been using every day now and here’s how it works:

say you have 2 modes: work (blocks socials) and sleep (blocks socials + messaging).

before, switching from one to the other meant unblocking then re-blocking, but now you can just combine them straight from the blok’d screen by tapping the “blok’d” text at the top of the blok’d screen.

test it out and lmk how it goes!

2. we’ve enabled international shipping. worldwide expansion.

3. we’re now also selling on tiktok shop, for the gen z’s out there.

4. our supply chain is fully automated. for the past year and a half, i personally packed and shipped every order.

at first it was fun... then it became exhausting to the point where i would feel sad and frustrated whenever i got a new order knowing the work that lay ahead of me. pretty ironic, but true.

well, no more.

we’ve partnered with a 3rd party logistics service that receives, warehouses and picks and packs all of our orders such that when a new order comes through, it’s handled and shipped to the customer same-day.

f*ck yeah.

5. new designs incoming... stay tuned :o.

6. we made blok world more restrictive. only those with a streak of 10+ will be showcased in blok world from now on, as the list was getting to hard to keep track of at the 3 streak minimum.

7. on the business side of things, we closed a few investors that believe in what we’re building for the long-term. if you’re one of them and are reading this, well, what can i say... THANK YOU for your trust - it means so much to me and the team.

8. growth update: we’re breaking records every month at this point. one stat to highlight is that we’re on pace to hit 20,000 unique blok sessions this month :o. mamita querida this shiii is getting out of hand rapidly!

9. we’re sponsoring a surf competition! the kazama family has gracefully invited blok to be an official sponsor for the “honua finals” in hawaii, where hundreds of top high-school surfers will be competing. i’ll be flying over there (for the 1st time ever) in ~10 days to rep blok, yay :).

10. yesterday, we hosted blok hours episode 002! about 80 ppl pulled up. i’ll send a recap vid soon but here’s a lil pic preview:

(bonus) we hosted our 1st full-team on-site a few days ago in san francisco. we had a blast and got a lot of things done :D.
